Though this novel wasn’t my favorite by this author, I will still be eagerly awaiting her next book, hoping that it’s more in line with A Good Neighborhood. The characterizations are fantastic – real, honest, and frankly, ugly at times, but that wasn’t enough to draw me in. Perhaps if something happened to capture my attention, I would have liked it, but it did not. Perhaps if I had liked one of the characters, I would have felt that “pull” – but sadly I did not.
